We had an afternoon of floating in the warm lake, and excellent dinner on the porch of this lakeside home, and I am again sitting in the Cicada Symphony contemplating a cup of after-dinner coffee. Life is good.

Finally- comments are enabled. Mel was on Vacation so I have had to catch up here, but Oh my goodness...so much amazing stuff, and from the looks of it, I was right all along about Austin. Melissa's sister sent us the money to come to Houston 3 years ago, and every time she goes to plan the trip, I tell her "I will meet her in Austin".
ReplyDeleteWill have to read more carefully tomorrow, but it seems as though things are going well- Charlotte, Lousiana, World's greatest tire swing....this is magic.
WIth so much Old Time music reference flying around, I figure I should introduce you to a few friends:
This is Jon. He is from Australia, and he is the reason Ukulele has lasted longer than anything else ever has. I talk to him daily, and we pretty much continuously egg each other on...while solving the problems of the world

This is also John. The other John...also a continual inspiration, and the reason I own 3 banjo ukes. Someday I will play them like him

Oh I wish I was along on this trip- thank you for letting me live vicariously, and please say we can have a Hootenanny when you get home.
